A Journey of Learning and Creativity for GPS Hairakhan Students (January 2025) and the activities at the school campus

The Digital Literacy Course and Intervention at Government School

NALF began its intervention at GPS Murukuriya by expanding its efforts to a nearby primary school in Hairakhan village, which is part of the Hairakhan Gram Panchayat. Newly graduated trainees, Nisha and Poornima, volunteered to teach computer and PT skills to the students.

Capacity Building Workshops

Virtual workshops were organized to enhance the team's skills, including topics like Menstrual Hygiene and the Use of Menstrual Cups by Periods ki Pathshala, eco-friendly lesson planning, eco-friendly stationery kits, and sustainable learning materials by Vaishali Sule. Additionally, Santwana Basu conducted a session on "Happy Teachers, Happy Classroom," focusing on creating positive learning environments, while also delivering Montessori training and a session on lesson planning for the team.

Silai Workshop at Haldwani

In August, we organized two additional workshops for the group in Haldwani, covering all remaining topics. These workshops helped us complete the six-month sewing course. The last two workshops were conducted by Sangeeta Ji, a senior trainer from a local NGO in Haldwani, at their centre named Udaan Prashikshan Kendra. Afterward, the women who completed the course were awarded certificates.

Summer Drawing Competition

Drawing competition was conducted for school students for understanding their artistic aptitude in which more than 40 students participated. And prizes were also distributed
